Brannel School is hosting a Festival of Poetry to showcase poetry and performances from students and primary school pupils.
The event will take place across two days (6th and 8th June 2023) with local cluster primary schools taking part alongside students from Brannel School.
The festival is inviting children and young people to learn and perform a pre-selected poem or to write their own poem to perform. This year’s topic for original poems is ‘Global Responsibility.’
All poetry festival participants will receive feedback and a certificate, with a winner and two runners-up chosen for each category.
To help students prepare for the festival, a poetry masterclass is being held in May.
Any Brannel students who are interested in entering should speak to their English teacher.
