GCSE Results Day 2021

There were lots of smiles as Brannel School’s Class of 2021 celebrated their GCSE results. Overall, the school’s results continue to exceed expectations.

The highest performer at Brannel was Ben Kulach who is looking forward to starting Truro College in September to study A-levels. Ben was very pleased to achieve seven grade 9s in English, Maths, Science, History and Computing as well as top marks in BTEC iMedia, making him the best student for progress as well as attainment. Ben is already making plans to study Medicine at university.

Head Girl, Scarlet Richards, will be studying Spanish, English and Politics at Truro College in September after scooping grade 9s in English, Maths, Science, Spanish and P.E.

Indigo Easby has her sights firmly set on pursuing a career in acting having achieved grade 9s in English Drama and Music as well as History, Maths and Science. She is looking forward to studying Musical Theatre at Truro in September.

Chloe May achieved grade 9s in Maths, Chemistry and Physics but will focus on art, illustration and graphics at college, with hopes to become an artist in the future.

Talan Ferris-Morris was one of the first students to open his results and was thrilled to find out he’d gained grades 9s in Science and Maths. Talan will be starting A-levels in Classical Civilisation, Medieval History and Chemistry at Truro College in September.

Stanley Taylor excelled in Computing, Maths and Science with grade 9s across the board and now has A-levels in Economics, Electronics and Psychology to look forward to next month.

Headteacher, Chris Liles, said “The school is delighted with these results, our students and staff have worked hard throughout the last two years to overcome lockdowns and the challenge of remote learning. These outcomes are the reward that they so richly deserve.”
